How does a machine vision system work?
A machine vision system consists of an industrial camera, lens, lighting and software. The camera captures images of products or processes. Software analyses these images in real time and determines, based on set criteria, whether the product meets the requirements. This can result in a signal to a PLC, robot or operator. With the help of AI the system can also recognise deviations that cannot be captured in rules.
