Privacy statement
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Engberink Automatisering B.V. handles your data with care. This privacy statement explains which data we process through this website, why we do so and what rights you have. In short: we only collect what we need to answer your question, we use no tracking or advertising cookies, and we never sell data.
Who is responsible
Engberink Automatisering B.V., Ketelmakerij 21K, 7553 ZP Hengelo, the Netherlands, is the controller for personal data processed through engber.ink. You can reach us at [email protected] or +31 74 369 0240.
Contact and quote requests
When you use the contact form, the quote form or the quote button in one of our tools, we process the details you enter: your name, company name, email address and the content of your message or request (for the tools, also the calculation you filled in). We use these details only to answer your question and, where relevant, prepare a quote.
The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your request is sent to us by email and is not stored in a separate database. We do not use your details for newsletters or marketing.
Retention and terms
We keep your data no longer than needed to handle your request, or for as long as the law requires us to.
This privacy statement and the processing of your data are governed by Dutch law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Would you like a copy of our current general terms and conditions? Request them through the contact form.
Cookies and storage in your browser
This website uses no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, which is why you won't see a cookie banner. A few features do keep something in your own browser:
- The Optics Sizing Calculator and the lighting test log keep your input in your browser's local storage, so you can pick up where you left off. This data stays on your device and we cannot see it. In the calculator you can clear it with "Start over"; you can also delete this site's data in your browser.
- On pages with a form, Google reCAPTCHA stores data in your browser to detect spam (see below).
Visitor statistics
For visitor statistics we use Umami, which we host ourselves on our own server (s.engber.ink). We use it only for statistics about the website, not about its users: we do not track individual visitors or build profiles. The data stays on our own server and is not shared with anyone. Umami sets no cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not follow you across other websites. We only see totals, such as pages visited, the referring website, browser and device type, and country. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website.
Third-party services
A few parts of the site rely on external services, which receive technical data such as your IP address and browser details. Google may process data in the United States; Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Google reCAPTCHA protects the contact form, the quote form and the quote button in our tools against spam and abuse. It only loads on pages with a form and when you send a request. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.
- The contact page shows a Google Maps map, which is loaded directly from Google.
- Cloudflare delivers the website through its network and protects it against attacks. To do so, Cloudflare processes technical data from each request.
Sharing with others
We do not sell your data or share it with anyone, except the service providers above and where the law requires us to. The connection to this website is encrypted (HTTPS).
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also object to processing, ask us to restrict it, and request your data in a portable format. Send your request to [email protected]; we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the supervisory authority in your own country.
Changes
We update this statement when the website changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
